Anita Berg-Pratt - B. Ed., M. Ed, M. Counselling

I believe in creating balance between the physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual elements that define who we are. I value an integrative approach to counselling with a strong foundation built on humanistic, family of origin and client-centered principles. In practice this means my energy is directed toward building a relationship based on empathy, positive regard, and genuineness. These are necessary elements in the change process. My aim is to always provide an environment where clients feel safe, respected, and valued. Only then does positive personal growth begin. On some level of consciousness based on their experience in life, I believe the client is in possession of the answers to their questions. It is my job to help clients identify, develop, and mobilize their own resources to successfully solve problems and meet challenges.
